WIND STREET | SWANSEA
Our client approached us with a concept to create a mixed-use scheme to incorporate a bar with live music, nightclub and accommodation. A model which supports Swansea Bay’s vision for tourism, entertainment, regeneration and economic growth.
The Grade II listed property is a former Post Office Exchange, which was used more recently as a bar and nightspot. Large areas of the extensive building were vacant and the owner sought to use the space for a mixed use scheme, bringing in further commercial use and accommodation.
We undertook surveys of the property and worked alongside planning consultants to develop a case for a change of use, our team produced the accompanying Heritage Report and a Tourism Needs and Impact Assessment (TNDIA) to support the application for planning permission.
Along with a comprehensive suite of Planning Support Documents, we developed detailed plans, elevations and location drawings for the existing building and proposed scheme.
During restoration works to the property, the owner agreed to a lease deal with Rekom Group to host their second Proud Mary venue in Wales.
