Oxford Street Arcades

Our clients approached us with a brief to develop existing properties and a key development site at Lower Oxford Street with the view to regenerate, increase footfall, and spatially coordinate the area.

The site is host to a large number of retail, hospitality, and entertainment venues, and is located within a host site designed as a culturally significant area of the city centre. The key development site was historically used for education and, since the school’s demolition in the 1970’s, has been used as a surface level car park.

We have provided concept stage designs for the renovation of existing properties, as well as early-stage concept designs for a mixed use commercial and city living development. Development of a property which is suitable for the host site will be considered in line with the priorities for Swansea city centre. The intended design will compliment its host site, when considering the viability of its intended use.
